Planning ahead of hurricane season or dealing with a generator that won't run? Call, or send a request and a local installer will call you back.
Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your address, so the right local installer gets your request
- What you need: a new generator, a transfer switch, a fuel hookup, service or a repair
- Whether the house has natural gas or a propane tank
- What you'd want running in an outage: central air, well pump, medical equipment
- For an existing generator, any message on the controller and when it was last serviced
Running a portable generator during an outage? Keep it outdoors and at least 20 feet from doors, windows and vents, and never plug it into a wall outlet or connect it to house wiring without a transfer switch.
